Functional medicine consultation for broader symptom review in Berry Hill

A functional medicine consultation helps patients decide how several health concerns should be reviewed together. Chronic fatigue may appear alongside digestive issues, hormonal balance concerns, inflammation, neck pain, or back pain, so we begin with the full health history.

This service isn't a promise to identify one cause for every symptom. Our team uses the consultation to assess concerns, explain treatment options, and decide whether medical evaluation, chiropractic care, or another next step fits the patient.

Patients in Berry Hill can use this service when they want a more connected discussion of symptoms after an accident or another personal injury event. The decision is whether a broader assessment adds value to the current care plan.

  • Bring a current list of symptoms and concerns.
  • Share relevant medical history and information about the injury event.
  • Ask which findings need medical evaluation and which care options fit.
  • Confirm how chiropractic and medical care will work together.

Service Overview

Functional medicine consultation is a health assessment that reviews symptoms, medical history, and factors that may affect care.

  • This consultation differs from a routine chiropractic visit because it gives more attention to wider health concerns alongside musculoskeletal symptoms.
  • Berry Hill patients can receive this consultation through our Nashville-area clinic coverage and coordinated medical and chiropractic care.

What this consultation helps you decide

A broader symptom review can help connect concerns that are discussed separately in routine visits.

Clear explanations help you understand why medical evaluation or chiropractic treatment may be considered.

An individualized plan keeps care focused on your health history and current needs.

Coordinated care supports better documentation when symptoms follow a car accident, workplace incident, or slip-and-fall accident.

Regular maintenance can be discussed when it fits your long-term care goals.

Dr. Dar’Neshia Roberts and her staff provide top-tier customer service and are super personable, knowledgeable, and always willing to further educate their patients if needed. The team works quickly and efficiently without making you feel rushed, and the clinic is very clean and always smells fresh. While I’m not happy that I got hurt, I’m extremely blessed to have found AIC. This clinic is warm, welcoming, and inclusive, and I truly felt comfortable and respected as a person of color. I highly recommend their services!!!

This place is amazing. The staff is friendly. The office is clean and laid back. Not much of a wait. The doctor walks you through every step and tells you what he’s going to do and has answers any questions I’ve had to the best of his knowledge. Normally I am afraid to go to doctors and be in offices but this place has been a different experience. I would recommend anyone to come here. The front desk ladies are helpful and friendly

Questions patients ask about symptom consultations

What concerns can a functional medicine consultation address?

Chronic fatigue, digestive issues, hormonal balance concerns, and inflammation can be discussed during a functional medicine consultation. Advanced Injury Care Clinic also reviews accident-related symptoms, medical history, and current care needs. The consultation doesn't promise one cause or outcome. It helps decide whether medical evaluation, chiropractic treatment, or a coordinated plan fits the patient's situation.

Which records should I bring before the consultation?

Medical records, a symptom list, and information about prior care can help the consultation start with useful context. Include details about an accident, workplace incident, or slip-and-fall event when relevant. Medication information and notes about changing symptoms also help our team review your health history and explain the next care options.

How does this service differ from a chiropractic visit?

A functional medicine consultation reviews broader health concerns alongside injury-related symptoms. A chiropractic visit focuses more directly on the musculoskeletal system and treatment needs. Our team may discuss both services when a patient has neck pain, back pain, whiplash, or another injury concern. The right mix depends on the findings and the patient's goals.

When should I ask about digestive issues or inflammation?

Digestive issues or inflammation deserve discussion when they continue alongside pain, fatigue, or other changes in health. Patients in Berry Hill can raise these concerns during the initial consultation. We review the full history, explain which findings need medical attention, and discuss how those concerns may fit with coordinated chiropractic and medical care.

Why might medical evaluation be discussed with chiropractic care?

Medical evaluation may be discussed when symptoms extend beyond a clear musculoskeletal concern. Our medical professionals and chiropractors consider the injury history, neurological symptoms, and broader health concerns together. This does not guarantee a diagnosis or result. It gives the patient a clearer basis for choosing among the treatment options we explain.

What decides the cost of this type of consultation?

The assessment needed, the health history reviewed, and any diagnostic needs discussed with the care team influence the cost. We explain the available treatment options and pricing information during the care discussion. Free initial consultations let patients discuss symptoms and care needs before deciding whether to continue with treatment.
